The Marketing Gap Mid-Sized Businesses Keep Ignoring
If you're a mid-sized business, there's a good chance your marketing looks busy. Social media accounts are active, the website gets updated, maybe you even run the occasional campaign. But if you look under the bonnet, is any of it actually connected?
This is the marketing gap I see over and over again. Enough activity to feel like you're doing something, but no real strategy stitching it all together. That means disjointed branding, confused messaging, inconsistent results, and a general feeling that you're "doing marketing" without knowing if it's actually doing anything.
A few red flags to look for:
Multiple people posting different things on social with no overarching plan
A website built 3 years ago and barely touched since
A reliance on seasonal offers or "filler content" to keep things moving
No data to show what's working and what’s not
This isn’t about spending more money, it’s about being more intentional. Take a step back, define what you're really trying to achieve, and align all your marketing efforts around that core goal.
Plugging the marketing gap doesn’t have to be complicated - but ignoring it is costly.
